Grandma Anna’s Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, at least 1 c. chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 apple, unpeeled, diced
- bulk sausage, use about 2/3 #
- bread cubes, at least 8-10 cups
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 stick melted butter
- 2-3 c. broth as needed, depending on amount of bread used
- 2 t. ground sage or poultry seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Saute: onion, celery, apple.
- Remove from skillet, then add and brown sausage.
- In large bowl, add a large bag of bread cubes.Add onion, celery and sausage, and apples.
- Add: 2 eggs, butter, broth, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
